From 4-7 July, the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-level Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence (WAIC) was held in Shanghai.
The Congress was co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Internet Information Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Since its inception in 2018, the conference has been successfully held for six sessions, always adhere to the high-end, international, professional, market-oriented, intelligent concept of running the conference, and gradually grow into the most influential industry event in the field of global artificial intelligence, is the relevant departments of the state and the Shanghai Municipal Municipal Government to build an international high-end cooperation and exchange platform.
This year's conference focuses on the theme of "Promoting Sharing by Common Consultation, Promoting Good Intelligence by Good Governance", focusing on key issues such as AI ethical governance, big models, data, arithmetic, embodied intelligence, etc., and well-known experts, scholars, and industry colleagues will gather together to share their experiences, exchange their views, and jointly promote the advancement of AI technology.
As a professional urban service robot provider in China, KUSA Technology was invited to participate in the exhibition, and Mr. Yang Xi, co-founder and CEO, was invited to attend the "Magic Box Live Stream" and brought a wonderful sharing with the theme of "Urban Service Robot". KUSA Technology has rich experience in urban informatisation, automated driving and robotics, and is committed to providing productivity service robots for urban open scenarios.
In his speech, Mr Yang shared the definition of automotive-grade embodied intelligence robot for the first time.
What is embodied intelligence?
It is a development field of artificial intelligence, a form of AI that integrates perception, cognition and action capabilities. It not only has the ability to understand the environment and situation, but also interacts with the environment through physical forms, so as to show flexible and efficient behavioural strategies in the complex and changing real world.Vehicle-grade embodied intelligent robots, on the other hand, refer to robots that adopt vehicle-grade design and selection and integrate embodied intelligent technology to meet the requirements of consistency, stability and durability, and are currently more often used in urban service scenarios, with certain requirements on the passability of the open road, the understanding of and adherence to traffic signals, and the execution of urban operational tasks.
Mr. Yang summarised the three key points of automotive-grade intelligent robots in relation to KUSA Technology's self-developed cleaning robot, Star Hyun®.Strong scene sensing ability of the robot is the foundation for autonomous and intelligent operation. Star Hyun® adoptsa multi-modal sensing solution led by visual AI and integrating contact sensing, which can completely sense the operation scene and promote the improvement of sensing accuracy through the mutual circulation of heterogeneous modal information between multi-sensors.Operation Execution Capability
When the robot performs actions, it needs to precisely control the position, speed and strength to ensure the accuracy, stability and repeatability of the actions. StarKeun® 's operational accuracy in complex environments can reach within 2cm, enabling smooth autonomous operation navigation, obstacle avoidance, target tracking and other tasks.Generalised reasoning ability
The robot's ability to adapt to diverse operational scenarios and changing operational requirements is dependent on its generalised reasoning ability. Throughout the learning process, the robot will improve its generalised reasoning ability in unknown scenarios through extensive training by combining actual data with world model simulation to better cope with all kinds of complex situations.
StarKeun® is working in Binjiang Park, Huangpu District, Shanghai.During the training process, the robot needs to continuously carry out the cycle of "validation-feedback-adjustment" to ensure that it can build a multimodal world model, accurately identify semantic instructions, improve the accuracy and flexibility of operation execution, adapt to the complex and changing needs and environments of urban services, and perform more efficiently than human beings.Allowing robots to learn and optimise autonomously is inseparable from effective data, and robot scaling is an important advantage in the accumulation of effective data pools.Currently, the unmanned cleaning robot Star Hyun® has entered commercial operation inShanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Sichuan and other places. KUSA is continuously collecting andupdating the robot's daily operation data, which drives the decision-making to better meet the market changes and customer needs.
Sing Hyun® sweeping on the open roadIn addition, Star Kyunney® has been equipped with the first product quality liability insurance for unmanned robots on the open road in China, which sets a precedent for the commercialisation of unmanned sanitation robots in terms of risk transfer, demonstrating to the market the maturity and reliability of intelligent robotics technology. At the same time, financial leasing companies' financial solutions to support the purchase and lease of robots also provide customers with more choices. The emergence and application of intelligent robots is undoubtedly an important force in promoting the intelligent transformation of city services. In the future, KUSA Technology will deepen its research and development of robotics technology and continue to explore the infinite possibilities of intelligent robots in the field of urban services.
