On November 28th, the 2025 Shenzhen (International) Urban Environmental Industry Expo commenced at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. As a representative enterprise in the field of urban service robotics, KUSA Technology showcased two of its self-developed unmanned sweeping robots—the KUSA StarSweep and the KUSA AI Giant. Among them, the KUSA AI Giant, unveiled as a new product for the first time, became a major focal point attracting significant attention on site.
The KUSA AI Giant is an automotive-grade embodied intelligent sweeping robot specifically designed for public areas such as open auxiliary roads, residential communities, parks, schools, squares, and pedestrian walkways. Relying on a multimodal perception system centered on visual AI, the robot can accurately identify road debris and dynamic obstacles. By integrating rainfall sensing and weather condition assessment, it adjusts operational strategies in real-time within complex environments, ensuring safe and reliable cleaning. It supports two operational modes: full-coverage cleaning and patrol sweeping, enabling autonomous planning of suitable cleaning paths for different scenarios. Additionally, it features a resumable-sweeping function, capable of accurately identifying uncleaned areas to avoid redundant work or omissions, effectively enhancing cleaning coverage and operational efficiency.
Furthermore, the KUSA AI Giant achieves a complete closed-loop unmanned operation. The robot can autonomously awaken, schedule tasks, and perform self-inspections on cleaning quality. It is equipped with functions like full-bin detection, automatic bin replacement, and autonomous return for charging and water replenishment. This allows the entire cleaning process to run continuously and efficiently in complex scenarios without manual intervention.
Also displayed was the KUSA StarSweep, which has already been deployed in multiple cities domestically and internationally, demonstrating stable and reliable performance across various open scenarios including urban main roads, auxiliary roads, and mixed traffic lanes. Through the fusion of non-contact and contact sensors, the robot constructs a unified, high-dimensional environmental perception map. It excels in obstacle identification, road condition assessment, and operational safety, providing reliable support for urban road sweeping.
During the expo, KUSA Technology simultaneously demonstrated the core capabilities of its intelligent cloud control platform, including modules for project overview, real-time dispatch, operational detail review, and inspection records. Leveraging this comprehensive digital management platform, the robots have achieved a leap from "single-unit intelligence" to "cluster intelligence," offering an efficient and visual operational solution for urban sanitation. This attracted numerous visitors for discussions and potential cooperation.
Currently, the sanitation industry is evolving from the initial stage of "equipment intelligence" towards a deeper level of "systematic smart operations." In the future, KUSA Technology will continue to use technological innovation as its engine, expanding the application of unmanned sweeping robots in more scenarios, and assisting urban management in advancing towards a more intelligent and efficient new era.
