To seize this historical opportunity and align with the national "AI+" initiative, the industry's first national-level specialized committee in the field of artificial intelligence—the Unmanned Driving and Sanitation Robotics Committee—has been established.

On November 14th, the "Inaugural Meeting of the Unmanned Driving and Sanitation Robotics Committee & Exchange Forum on Intelligent Sanitation Technology Development," hosted by the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association (CUESA) and organized by Suzhou Futai Information Technology Co., Ltd., Queenvic City Management Co., Ltd., and Shanghai KUSA Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Hangzhou.
The inaugural meeting was presided over by Liu Jinghao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CUESA. Attendees included Lü Feihong, Deputy Director of the Urban Management and Law Enforcement Guidance Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Yang Zhou, Director of the Sanitation Division of the Hainan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Song Xiaoqing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hangzhou Urban Management Bureau; Guo Jian, Deputy District Mayor of Yuhang District, Hangzhou Municipal Government, along with over a hundred representatives from sanitation service companies, intelligent sanitation equipment manufacturers, universities, and research institutes. Together, they witnessed the establishment of the Unmanned Driving and Sanitation Robotics Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee").

At the beginning of the meeting, several attending leaders charted the course for the Committee's future development. In his address, Guo Jian, Deputy District Mayor of Yuhang District, emphasized that Yuhang would leverage its strengths in the digital economy and innovation platforms, focusing on policy, platform, and ecosystem development to build a nationally leading hub for the intelligent connected sanitation industry. Lü Feihong, Deputy Director of the relevant division under the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, summarized Hangzhou's achievements in policy innovation and scenario application from a provincial practice perspective, and outlined the future direction of building a smart sanitation system with deep integration of technology, standards, and scenarios.
During the meeting, Liu Jinghao, Vice President and Secretary-General of CUESA, read the official approval document from CUESA regarding the establishment of the "Unmanned Driving and Sanitation Robotics Committee of the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Association."

The meeting also announced appointments for key members of the Committee Secretariat:

Wang Cheng, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai KUSA Technology Co., Ltd., was appointed as Executive Deputy Secretary-General.
This election as a Vice-Chair Unit represents high recognition from the industry for KUSA Technology's sustained exploration and practical achievements in the field of unmanned sanitation. This honor signifies not only increased responsibility but also a new starting point for collaborating with industry partners to create value and shape the future.
Subsequently, the event proceeded to the "Intelligent Sanitation Technology Development Exchange Forum," focusing on cutting-edge industry insights and practical exploration. Three guest speakers—Tan Jianrong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor at Zhejiang University; Yang Xi, Co-founder and CEO of KUSA Technology; and Liang Jun, General Manager of Guangzhou Queenvic Digital City Co., Ltd.—shared insights on topics including robotics technology trends, innovative pathways for unmanned sanitation, and commercial application. From the dimensions of top-level design, technological breakthroughs, and business models, they sketched a clear blueprint for intelligent sanitation transitioning from R&D to large-scale application, pointing the way for the industry's future development.

In his presentation, Yang Xi, Co-founder and CEO of KUSA Technology, innovatively proposed that intelligent sanitation, driven by new technologies, has evolved from "point-based innovation" to "systematic upgrade." The core path to its large-scale implementation lies in building system capabilities that cover "full-scenario," integrate the "full-process chain," and support "all-weather" operations. "Full-scenario" means technologies and equipment must adapt to all sanitation operation stages—sweeping, collection, transportation, and picking—while enabling coordinated operation and unified dispatch of multiple equipment types. "Full-process chain" involves using AI and information technology to connect all links from data collection and demand input to model-based decision-making, forming an intelligent closed loop from perception to evaluation. "All-weather" represents a capability for continuous and stable system assurance, ensuring the intelligent sweeping system maintains efficient and reliable operation under various complex conditions through 7x24 technical support and scenario responsiveness.
During the roundtable dialogue sessions, moderated by Yang Xi, Co-founder and CEO of KUSA Technology, representatives from sanitation operations, technology enterprises, and research institutions engaged in two rounds of in-depth discussion on key topics such as the commercial closed-loop, policy mechanisms, and industrial collaboration for unmanned sanitation.
In the first dialogue, Gong Huimin, General Manager of the Robotics Business Division at Futai Technology; Xia Guanming, President of Queenvic; Yuan Li, Executive Deputy Director of the Dongwu Securities Research Institute; Li Wenxing, Executive Vice President of the Hefei Intelligent Robotics Research Institute; Fang Xiaoyong, Deputy Director of the Intelligent Technology Center at Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry; and Xiu Caijing, Head of the Anhui Lümei Chuangcheng Intelligent Research Institute shared insights from perspectives including technology implementation, operational practice, capital viewpoint, and industrial collaboration.
The second dialogue featured participants including Wang Yingda, Deputy General Manager of Hangzhou Urban-Rural Construction Design Institute Co., Ltd.; Lu Youyuan, General Manager of City Lights; Zhang Wenbin, Deputy General Manager of Oca Intelligent; and Li Yufeng, Marketing Director of Youlu Intelligent, focusing on practical challenges such as technology adaptation across different scenarios, business model innovation, and collaborative development of industry standards.
Both dialogues featured vibrant exchanges of ideas, providing attendees with intellectual discourse of both forward-thinking and practical reference value, also offering multiple pathways to advance intelligent sanitation from "demonstration application" to "large-scale implementation."
The successful convening of this conference marks the comprehensive embarkation of China's sanitation industry into a new intelligent era. The establishment of the Unmanned Driving and Sanitation Robotics Committee has created a high-end platform convening stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research, and application sectors.
